Turn the first lemming into a floater and a climber. Once he's climb up, turn it into a builder so he will turn to the left. Now build to the platform. When you fall down, build again so you turn to the right. Build to the pillar to prevent the lemmings falling dead. When you walk back, build again to turn to the right. You will climb up, build again to turn left and now mine down. Turn one or two lemmings into bombers near the exit to create a hole under the trap.
A little different solution is sent to me by Ash Thomas on 18 August 2009:
It's almost the same, but a builder is saved in the beginning so you can build over the trap instead of timing a bomber.

When you fall down, bash to the left and build so you turn to the right. Build to the pillar to prevent the lemmings falling dead. When you walk back, the bit you bashed will make you turn right again. You will climb up, build again to turn left and now mine down. Turn one or two lemmings into bombers near the exit to create a hole under the trap.
